BRANCH EXECUTIVE TRAINEE 
(Maybank)









I believe many of people out there are searching for any details regard to Branch Executive Trainee...

Am I Right????? Ahaks! 

Especially Those Fresh Graduates!

Well that situation occurred to me after I got a call for an interview for this position.
Let me give a clear picture here during my time. 

They are many phases that applicants have to go through to be shortlisted for this position.
It begins with the application for this position. 

Where many of people find this post in Job search engine like

that was a 1st phase...

And then when the application already submitted and be processed by the HR of Maybank, the shortlisted candidate will be informed BUT…..

There is a BUT! 


In 2nd Phase!!

Before potential candidates are enter for an interview session they are required to fill up a form and done some exercises/quizzes/multiple choice questions through online!! 
 (HR of Maybank will send you a link to your email Click Here!! .  That link will connect you to the specific website and you are given ID and password to login). 
Which means every possible candidate have to answer every questions with required time given.
During my day, questions are divided into 2 section.

1) RfB Managerial and Graduate Numerical B 
2) RfB Managerial and Graduate Verbal B

 1st section is about the calculation or we can say Numerical type of questions. In this section they are giving you 28 questions  to be done for 24 Minutes (if I am not mistaken). It is quite easy for the question to be answered, but the time that is provided for answering those question are limited and you have to answer it as fast as you can. Omit those complicated calculating questions and answer questions that you feel easily to do.

 And

In 2nd section the question are in type of verbal question. It is similar type with MUET question in (READING section), which you are giving few paragraphs that you have to understand and answer the questions based on your understanding (it’s quite challenging and confusing ahaks!)  Time given around 20 minutes also (if I am not mistaken (lupa Bah sudah !) and for 40 questions.


Well in 3rd Phase ~~

 If you are qualified for an Interview you will be informed through call or email (selalu lah check email anda) means you’re the qualified for an interview session kononnyaaa….

But not so fast…

There is a new challenge which is “Group Discussion”….


















During my session, There are 8 candidate are chosen to attend for a “Group Discussion”. During that time candidates are given few pieces of paper with a lot of words on it to be read for 30 minutes. It is about example of company which you have to understand about their core business, products and services, issues, financial performance and etc.

After that, there is a question given to you. For my batch we are given pertained how to handle a problems related with that company and all the candidates have to give some respond and feedback about the problems or issues given by the panels.  


Example during my session, our task is to overcome the issue regard to the problem pertaining to operation asset in our company which cause losses. All candidate have to debate how to solve the problems.

When I said a debate means there is Pro and Cons and candidates is divided into 2 groups. 
4 candidates are pro and other candidates are for cons.
During the discussion is better for you to think fast and contribute your opinion and being active and most importance is you have to speak loud and clearly during that time. This is because you are supervised and judged by the 3 panel around you (maybe numbers of panels are different based on situation).
Before 40 Minutes end, all candidates have to decide the solution for the problem and it is important to do the summaries after the group discussion.


Final phase is Interview

After panels decided which candidate are qualified for final round. From 8 candidates, only 3 candidates are chosen and these 3 candidates have to go for an interview by the HR from Head Quarters (HQ) and another one is a Branch Regional Manager. So they will ask the question pertaining your background, experiences (if any) and etc. The questions are asked randomly. After 2 weeks they will informed you whether you are qualified or not for becoming “BRANCH EXECUTIVE TRAINEE (Maybank)” jeng..jeng..jeng….. 



P/s: I am Still waiting for the answer or result even feedback from HR of Maybank...  v(^_^)v
